Scratch Login
Your Class Account
Mr. Willingham created a Scratch account for you to use in this class. The username and password are deliberately random and not personally identifiable, to protect your privacy.
Do not use a personal Scratch account for class work. Projects must be in your class account so they can be graded.
Finding Your Login
Your username and password were sent to your school email.
- Open Office 365 and sign in with your school email and password.
- Open Outlook and look for an email from Mr. Willingham.
- If you do not see it, check Junk and Deleted Items.
- Still nothing? Raise your hand.
Logging In
- Go to scratch.mit.edu.
- Click Sign in in the top-right corner.
- Enter the username and password from the email.
- Click Create to start a new project, or My Stuff (under your username) to open an old one.
Saving
Scratch saves automatically most of the time, but not always. Press cmd + S or use File → Save now before you close the tab or switch projects.
If Scratch Logs You Out
Scratch sometimes signs you out mid-class, and unsaved work is lost.
- Sign back in and check My Stuff — the project may be there with most of your work.
- If it is gone, use the starter project link on the lesson page. Click Remix to get your own copy and pick up where the lesson is.
- Save more often from now on.
Sharing Projects
Projects are private until you share them. When a lesson says to share, see Share to the Class Studio.
