Unit: Melody and Form
Everything comes together. Monday adds the dominant and cadences and you write a binary melody that pauses on the dominant and ends on the tonic. Tuesday you compose one complete piece in binary or ternary form — a melody with a tonic–dominant bass line — and turn it in as an MP3 and a PDF. Wednesday every piece plays out loud at the Listening Party. Thursday you meet Soundtrap’s Chords tool and build an ABA chord progression to improvise over. Friday is review; the quiz is Monday.

Graded Assignments
- Binary/Ternary Form Melody Project (due Wednesday 11/11) — MP3 and PDF uploaded to CTLS.
- Music Reading and Form Quiz (Monday 11/16) — note reading, binary and ternary form, tonic and dominant.
Late work will receive a one-time 20 point deduction.
