Day 1: Computer Lab Basics

30 minutes classes due to testing
Classes are shorter today due to testing. We will focus on getting everyone logged in, setting up OneDrive for file storage, and completing the About Me form. We will also briefly open GarageBand and make sure you can adjust your volume and other settings.

Your instructions will be posted here daily. Before beginning **any** work, read everything.
You will always start with the objectives and the warmup.
Before starting the warmup activity, read the objectives and the whole warmup. After finishing the warmup activity, read the whole work session. You may be able to start the work session on your own some days. Other days, you may need to wait for Mr. Willingham.
Do this every day.
Warmup: Edpuzzle Video Tutorial
Step 1: Log in to Edpuzzle through Clever.
Step 2: Watch the tutorial video that will teach you:
- How to take a selfie using Photo Booth
- How to set up OneDrive for file storage
- How to move your selfie to OneDrive
- How to upload your picture to the About Me form
Step 3: Follow along with the video to complete the first seven questions of the About Me form.
Stop 🛑 when you get to the section about hyperlinks and screenshots.
Work Session: Computer Setup with Mr. Willingham
After the warmup, Mr. Willingham will walk you through:
- Setting your desktop wallpaper
- Finding the URL for an activity you care about and sharing it as a hyperlink in the About Me form
- Additional computer tips and settings
- Opening GarageBand and adjusting your volume
- Completing the rest of the About Me form
