Unit: Podcasts

In this unit, you will create your own podcast episode from start to finish. You’ll learn the science of sound, how to set up and use recording equipment, and how to write, record, and edit a podcast in GarageBand. At the end of the unit, you’ll share your finished episode with the class.

Graded Assignments

  • BrainPop — Sound Waves (Tuesday) — Complete all activities including the quiz. The quiz is a daily grade.
  • Edpuzzle — Microphone Setup (Wednesday) — Watch and answer all questions in the video.

Week 2 Preview

Next week you will finish writing your full podcast script, create intro music using GarageBand loops, record your episode, and edit it all together. By the end of week 2, your podcast will be ready to share with the class.
