Week 7: Remixing and Film Scoring
Unit: Remixing
Monday through Wednesday you will remix a piece of classical music into a new style using GarageBand — choosing a classical MIDI file, rearranging it, changing instruments, adjusting the tempo, adding Apple Loops, and using automation.
Unit: Film Scoring
Thursday and Friday launch the final group project of the year: scoring a short animated film. Your group will pick from three Blender Open Movies (Agent 327, Spring, Lost in Time), use Apple Loops for music, and add provided sound effects on top of the picture. No dialogue, no original MIDI melodies — just loops, sound effects, and careful syncing to the action on screen. This project will continue into next week.
